Bogus Police Officer

Alert message sent 22/01/2018 07:28:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Please accept my apologies, on Thursday evening (18.01.2018) I was experiencing issues with the Neighbourhood Alert website which I access to send out alert messages. Unfortunately the website kept crashing every time I pressed send, although one appears to have been sent with only the word “Bo” on it, which was the first two letters of the subject, Bogus!

The actual context of the message I was trying to send is below:

Sorry for any inconvenience this caused

PC 2640 Paul Henson

Tonight (18.01.2018) we have received three separate reported incidents of persons claiming to be the Police Officers in the following locations:

Boxley Drive, West Bridgford

Somerton Avenue, Wilford

Queens Road, Radcliffe on Trent

In all cases, the suspects tried the occupant’s door, or opened the letter box, and when challenged by the occupants they stated they were Police Officers.

Descriptions vary, but in general it appears they are white males, late twenties, one may have an Irish accent. They may have had a face covering, balaclava and or woolly hat, and wearing a green or black jacket.
