NOTTINGHAMSHIRE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH AGM – 23 June 2018
NOMINATIONS FOR TRUSTEE POSITIONS
Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch (aka NottsWatch®) is a registered Charity, and in accordance with its Constitution may elect between four and ten Trustees who make up the Executive Committee (see www.nottswatch.co.uk for details). Currently there are five Trustees, who automatically stand down at the end of each year as required by the Constitution, and four propose to continue for a further 12 months. We are keen to seek at least two new Trustees to join our ambitious team, at an exciting time for NottsWatch, as we strive to achieve new goals whilst maintaining our main focus – to support neighbourhood watch schemes throughout the city and county of Nottinghamshire.
Nominations for Trustees may be made by any Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch scheme coordinator or scheme member, provided they are proposed and seconded by other Nottinghamshire scheme members. The name of the nominee, plus the names of the proposer and seconder, who must have given their prior agreement, should be received by email at email@example.com on or before midnight, 8 June 2018, to be eligible. Nominations will be acknowledged by email.
Please refer to the attached description of the Trustee role.
If more than ten nominations are received, including those standing for re-election, there will be a formal vote at the AGM to decide the ten trustees.
Prospective nominees should please refer to the Charity Commission web site for information about the eligibility and responsibilities of Trustees and, if elected, be prepared to sign the Trustee Declaration.
Furthermore, all Trustees are automatically appointed as members of the NottsWatch® Management Board, and as such are required to participate in the day-to-day administrative governance of the organisation.
