Crimes reported over the past seven days.

 

Burglary Dwelling

Between 8.00am and 12 Noon on Thursday 31 August in Bishops Way, Hucknall, a house was entered via a front bedroom window and a safe containing cash and jewellery was stolen.

 

Between Saturday 2 and Monday 4 September in High Leys Road, Hucknall, an attached garage was broken into and a set of Ping Golf Clubs and a yellow tool box were stolen.

Theft from motor vehicle

Between Saturday 26 August and Saturday 2 September in Victoria Street, Selston, tools were stolen from a Renault Traffic van.

 

Overnight Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 August in Spitfire Way, Hucknall, an insecure Peugeot Partner van was entered.  Cash, a wallet containing drivers licence and bank cards was stolen.

 

Overnight Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 August in Spitfire Way, Hucknall, a black Ford Ka parked on a driveway was broken into.  A SatNav, cash, clothing, trainers and a First Aid kit were stolen.

 

Overnight Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 August in Lovesey Way, Hucknall, a gold coloured iPhone 6 was stolen from a BMW series3 car.

 

Overnight Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 August in Lovesey Way, Hucknall, a pair of boots and a black laptop bag containing a Dell laptop computer, were stolen from a Vauxhall Astra.

 

Overnight Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 August in Lovesey Way, Hucknall, a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and cash was stolen from a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

 

Between 12.30pm and 2.00pm on Thursday 31 August in Rawson Street, Selston, the front and rear number plates were stolen from a Toyota Yaris parked at the roadside.

 

Between 6.00pm on Sunday 3 September and 11.00am on Monday 4 September in Ullswater Drive, Hucknall, a silver Vauxhall Combo van parked at the roadside was broken into.  A torch, saw and drill were stolen.

 

Between 8.30pm on Sunday 3 and 7.15am on Monday 4 September in Portland Road, Selston, a Purple Giant cycle, radio, keys, torch and fishing bag were stolen from a van.

 

Between 7.00pm on Monday 4 September and 7.00am on Tuesday 5 September in Annesley Lane, Selston, a Ford Transit van parked at the front of a house was broken into. A Makita plunge saw and a Paslode im50 nail gun were stolen.

 

Overnight Monday 4 to Tuesday 5 September in Portland Road, Selston, a Ford Transit van was broken into.  Two big Makita bags, four SDS drills, four impact drivers and jigsaws were stolen. The tool batteries have DMW carved into them.

 

Between 8.00pm on Monday 4 September and 11.30am on Tuesday 5 September in Storey Gardens, Hucknall, the front number plate and chrome bumper were stolen from a car parked in front of the house.

 

Between 7.15pm on Tuesday 5 and 9.30am on Wednesday 6 September at Papplewick Garage, Papplewick Lane, Hucknall the rear number plate of a silver Ford Fiesta and both number plates from a silver Peugeot car were stolen.  Both were on the garage forecourt.

 

Plain clothed Police Officers are carrying out additional patrols in the evenings and overnight to combat the current increase in thefts from cars.  Please help by making sure you leave your vehicles secure and not leaving any items such as sunglasses, satnav’s or loose change on view.  If possible remove any valuables from your cars and vans overnight.  Report any suspicious activity around parked vehicles as soon as possible, always ring 999 if a crime is in progress.
